Touch-Ups
We've all been there. A chip in your nail polish and we add "just one little layer" on top. Sure, this can solve an immediate issue, but it can also cause long term damage if it becomes a habit. The ugly truth is that layering polish can actually trap minute fungi underneath polish leaving a nice dark place for fungal infection to develop. The most common being on toenails, especially during winter months, prime sock wearing season. This warm, dark, moist area is the equivalent of a glass of wine, Barry White, and dim candles for fungi to overpopulate. Don't fall prey to the temptation, if you must use the quick-fix polish to get through the day, be sure to remove it, or make an appointment to have your nails properly cared for. As always, if you have questions, please don't hesitate to ask, I'm happy to help!
